Why is Relution renewing its apps?
Relution renews its existing apps for iOS and Android. The previously combined functions of the Relution Client will be outsourced to standalone apps. The new apps based on Flutter technology can be used immediately. Thus, Relution follows the latest technological standards. The same code base of the apps will enable a cross-platform offering on a functional level in the future.
What are the new apps for iOS?
The following new apps are part of the Relution platform and can only be used with the Relution Server and appropriate credentials.
Relution Agent for iOS
The Relution Agent monitors the compliance status of the device, makes apps available through the Relution App Store, and supports multi-user mode for devices.
Relution Teacher for iOS
Relution Teacher helps teachers deliver chaos-free lessons. Pedagogically useful apps and web links are automatically available and delivered to student devices via lesson profiles.

Relution Files for iOS
With Relution Files, local file shares (SMB, WebDAV) can be integrated for accessing documents and content. Data and work results can be stored securely on a central server.

What to consider when migrating iOS from old Relution Clients to the new apps?
With Relution Server version 5.11.2, all new organizations will automatically receive the new apps for iOS. Existing organizations must be migrated to the new apps. The following preparatory actions are mandatory for this:
- Obtain VPP licenses of the new apps to continue using existing functionality
- To inform end users that after the rollout, new apps will be used for functionalities already in use
To equip enrolled existing devices with the new apps, a guide in the Relution Portal under "Settings" -> "Relution Client Apps" -> "iOS Client" supports the migration:
The old Relution Client is not automatically removed from existing devices and must be removed from the devices via a "Remove App" action after successful testing of the new apps.

Relution Teacher for iOS
To use Relution Teacher on teacher devices, in all applied teacher policies, the new app must be added as a required app in the "App Compliance" configuration.
Relution Files for iOS
Once a Relution file share configuration for iOS is set up, the Relution Files app is automatically installed on all devices to which the policy is applied.
When the new Relution Files app is initially opened on the device, all managed file shares that have been centrally pre-configured via a policy are automatically applied and no manual setup is required in the app.
File shares that were manually configured in the old Relution Client for iOS must also be manually transferred to the new Relution Files app.
What are the new apps for Android?
The following new apps are part of the Relution platform and can only be used with the Relution Server and appropriate credentials.
Relution Companion for Android Legacy (Classic)
The Relution Companion is mandatory for enrolling and configuring Android Legacy devices (Device Administrator) and is automatically installed on enrolled devices.
Relution Agent for Android Legacy (Classic) and Android Enterprise
The Relution Agent monitors the compliance status of the device and makes apps available through the Relution App Store.

Relution Homescreen for Android Enterprise
Relution Homescreen allows configuring the background image and arrangement of apps on the homescreen of devices with Android Enterprise enrollment.
