In order to expand the service portfolio for the public market, REDNET announces the distribution of Relution.
As a specialised IT supplier, REDNET has been offering integrated solutions to public authorities and educational institutions for many years. The experts at REDNET support school authorities and schools in implementing the German DigitalPakt. This begins with the planning of media development and includes advice on the appropriate IT equipment. REDNET also organizes the roll-out of equipment. Additionally they take over the operation and offer appropriate technical and pedagogical training.
In addition to this service, the data protection compliant administration of mobile devices is also guaranteed. Compliance with the GDPR is a decisive criterion, especially with regard to the administration for educational purposes, in order to protect sensitive data of users such as teachers and students. “With Relution, we offer our customers a solution that combines powerful device management with the high demands of data protection,” explains Barbara Weitzel, CEO of REDNET AG.
The Mobile Device Management Relution from the German software manufacturer M-Way Solutions works without Apple and Google IDs on the mobile devices and without any cloud components. It can be operated within the personal infrastructure. By connecting existing systems, user IDs for authentication and file shares for file storage can be integrated. The multi-client capability of Relution makes it possible to provide separate environments for administration and schools.
Employees in administration receive access configured via Relution to WIFI, e-mail, file servers and the intranet. This automatically provides all the necessary work tools such as the appropriate apps and content.
In schools, both iOS and Android tablets can be used with Relution. Via the teacher console predefined lessons can be distributed in a targeted manner including only relevant apps and content. The multi-user mode enables the easy use of tablet use cases in different classes.
“In the public sector and especially in schools, the use and secure management of mobile devices is playing an increasingly important role. The GDPR is an important asset and our children in particular should benefit from it,” says Volker Hahn, CEO of M-Way Solutions. For this reason a central administration of these devices is essential.
If a large number of mobile devices need to be conveniently managed in public administration and educational institutions, the use of a mobile device management system such as Relution can minimize the administrative effort while enabling digital learning and ensuring data protection.
