Relution Decon

Intelligent content filtering for a protected digital environment

In the increasingly digitalized world, people spend more time online. The Internet should be a safe space that allows carefree and self-confident learning and work. Therefore, the need for digital security is growing to repel cyber attacks and filter access to unwanted content - especially in sensitive areas such as schools, companies and public institutions.

Relution Decon is an AI-based add-on designed specifically for iOS and iPadOS. It provides effective protection by dynamic filtering of malicious and inappropriate websites and apps. At the same time, it optimizes the learning and working environment by minimizing distractions from unwanted sites. In this way, the learning & working environment can be protected from unwanted content.

How does Relution Decon work?

Relution Decon uses a content filter app that monitors and filters network access to the devices. The Relution Decon KI analyzes and classifies web pages in real time, recognizes both texts and images and stores already analyzed pages to increase efficiency.

Platform support from Relution Decon

Relution Decon is available in the first version for iOS and iPadOS and can be used directly there. A version for macOS is currently in development planning to fully cover the Apple platforms. In addition, we are examining the technical feasibility and the need for support for Android and Windows devices in order to offer a cross-platform solution in the long term.

Easy integration of Relution Decon

The new "Relution Decon" policy allows administrators to effectively control content. You can flexibly allow or block categories of content and manage specific URLs and apps through customizable lists. If a website is in a blocked category set by administrators, access is automatically denied and the user is redirected to an individual block page. Users can request a release for incorrectly blocked pages, while administrators have the option to manually release or block individual pages.

The Decon app

The Decon policy in Relution automatically installs the Decon app on all devices. Users can monitor the status of Decon and see the reasons for blocked websites. The app also activates the system-wide DNS proxy, which runs in the background and cannot be deactivated by the user. This increases security and ensures continuous protection of all devices.

Secure data exchange

Relution attaches great importance to the protection of personal data. The Decon server uses DNS over HTTPS to ensure that all data transmissions are encrypted by SSL, regardless of whether the solution is used on your premises or in the German cloud. This keeps your data and privacy protected and DNS providers can't track your online activities based on your DNS requests.

The Decon system does not collect web page information directly on the device. Instead, the filtering is based solely on domain names and publicly available information. All logged data is anonymized so that administrators cannot recognize which device has accessed which website. You will only see aggregated data, such as the total number of requests from a user.

One-click content control

Administrators can set a policy for Decon in Relution, which of the following categories they want to block or allow:
