Relution Server 5.34
Switching to Relution – now easier with iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26
The latest Apple operating systems make switching from third-party MDMs to Relution much easier. The migration takes place without resetting to factory settings, without manual re-registration, and without lost configurations. Devices are seamlessly transferred to Relution directly via Apple Business/School Manager (ABM/ASM), minimizing downtime and administrative effort.
After migration, all security policies, configuration profiles, and apps are transferred. Users receive only a brief notification about the change, and the devices automatically install the new MDM profile. This makes device management more efficient, secure, and optimized across platforms.

New battery status for devices (iOS/iPadOS/macOS 26)
With the latest version, iPads can report their battery status directly to Relution for devices running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26. The devices proactively inform the mobile device management service about changes in battery status via status reports. The new “Battery Status” feature gives administrators a better overview of the health of their devices.
The “Service recommended” label is displayed on older devices, for example, to indicate possible maintenance requirements. The following iPad models are supported: iPad Pro (M4), iPad Air (M2 and M3), iPad (A16), and iPad mini (A17 Pro).
Set default apps for iOS/iPadOS
Administrators in Relution can now define default apps for iOS and iPadOS devices via an action. Apps for telephony (calling), browsers, and messaging can be selected and set centrally as an option.
All three apps can be selected independently of each other, allowing administrators to respond flexibly to user requirements.
iOS 26 – New restrictions available
Starting now, the restrictions “Allow recording” and “Allow voicemail” can be controlled centrally via Relution for iOS 26 devices.
Safari configuration for iOS and macOS
Relution now offers a new Safari configuration that makes it easy to manage central Safari settings. Administrators can set guidelines for cookie policies, configure the start page for new tabs, and integrate optional extensions. Placeholder URLs can also be used for the start page to respond flexibly to different devices or user profiles.
Optimized iOS wallpaper processing
Starting with Relution 5.34, iOS wallpapers are delivered more efficiently to avoid peak loads and prevent device requests from being blocked. If a wallpaper with text is requested but not yet generated, the device first receives the wallpaper without text. The final version is created in the background and automatically transferred to the device via a follow-up action.
Return-to-service tvOS
Starting immediately, Relution supports the return-to-service procedure for tvOS devices. WiFi configurations are now queried on a platform-specific basis so that iOS and tvOS devices receive their respective settings. To keep management clear, an action cannot be selected if iOS and tvOS devices are selected at the same time.
Dynamic adjustment of the Edu profile when teaching at other schools
Relution enables the automatic adjustment of the Edu profile on devices when teachers select a different school (tenant) for substitute teaching or temporary lessons. During the lesson, the device is equipped with the classroom profile of the selected organization, including any ad hoc classes. After the lesson ends, the profile is automatically reset to the home school's Edu profile.
This feature facilitates flexible teaching in substitute situations or at other schools without changing the home school's own profile settings.
CSV import optimized for devices and users
The import of devices and users via CSV file has been improved: Separators can be changed directly, and files are checked in advance. A preview, progress bar, and import summary make the entire process easier. Note: If you have previously used user import via the Relution API, you will find information on migrating to the portal in the manual.
Wipe action for Android Enterprise devices
From now on, when sending a wipe action to Android Enterprise devices, Relution will wait until the device has confirmed receipt. This enables server-side tracking of the action and cancellation as long as the device has not yet received the command. Administrators receive confirmation after a successful wipe.
When performing the wipe action, the device status is updated from DELETION_PENDING to DELETED during the process, ensuring transparent and controlled device management. When deleting a device, the enterprise profile is primarily removed, while the normal wipe action completely resets the device.
Android Enterprise: Delete function standardized with iOS
A RELINQUISH_OWNERSHIP action is sent for devices with a personal profile, and an enterprise wipe for all others. COPE devices continue to receive a WITHDRAW action. This adjustment ensures consistent processes, minimizes data loss, and facilitates the secure management of Android Enterprise devices.
WLAN roaming configuration per SSID for Android Enterprise devices running Android 15 or higher
With this version, Relution supports the configuration of Wi-Fi roaming behavior for Android Enterprise devices running Android 15 or higher. The device connectivity configuration allows roaming to be controlled specifically per SSID. This gives IT administrators more control over network stability and enables them to ensure a more reliable connection in both school and business environments.
New board manufacturer: Newline Interactive
Relution now supports interactive whiteboards from the manufacturer Newline Interactive, which are based on Android Enterprise and can be managed centrally via the Relution platform.
Relution version 5.34 includes the Newline OEMConfig app, which can be used to directly configure manufacturer-specific functions of the whiteboards. The Newline LYRA PRO TT-7523QA model is currently supported. The integration of additional Newline devices and manufacturers is planned for future versions.
This significantly expands the range of compatible devices and enables cross-manufacturer, uniform device management – ideal for educational institutions and public institutions.
