Not only the passionate castle builder and fairy-tale king Ludwig II of Bavaria lived and worked here; there is also a look ahead, into the future. The district is in the midst of digital transformation; this is being driven forward massively, especially in administration, but also in school operations.

The district's inventory includes approximately 473 licenses and has been steadily increasing, especially in the area of schools. End devices managed with Relution, such as cell phones, tablets and iPads, are steadily increasing in all areas.

For the secure, uniform control of all digital devices, the district of Ostallgäu relies on the mobile device solution Relution. "Without a suitable software, a lot of unnecessary and important time is lost in the manual setup and individual confguration of new devices – with an increasing number of devices, it is also difficult to keep a good overview of all the required functions," says Tobias Zeller, IT administrator of the Ostallgäu district. Relution provides a remedy: Depending on the user group or scenario, the devices are centrally equipped with the relevant apps and required content.

"Ensuring data protection-compliant operation is therefore particularly important to us," Tobias Zeller continues. "With Relution, we had the choice of hosting personal and sometimes highly confidential data either in a German, encrypted cloud or on our own infrastructure (On Premises). We chose the latter option. This freedom of choice and flexibility was one of the reasons why we decided to use Relution. We have complete control over all data at all times, to which no unauthorized person has access".

Another reason is that Relution is very easy and intuitive to use. "Relution operates in the background. The users have nothing to do with the system per se and don't notice much of the central administration. They only notice that everything works – which of course makes us happy and relieves us immensely", Tobias Zeller summarizes.
