Training: Relution – SysAdmin Standard (Installation and Basic Configuration)

Learn everything you need to install and operate Relution yourself in a basic configuration.

Overview

This training covers the fundamentals of installing and operating Relution independently. From the infrastructure overview and system requirements through Docker basics to installing Relution with Docker Compose, backups, and organization management, participants learn the complete workflow of a basic installation.

Target Audience

System administrators, IT staff, and service providers who install and operate Relution themselves.

Duration and Format

Approx. 90–120 minutes, delivered online via Microsoft Teams.

Learning Objectives

After the training, participants will be able to

• understand the Relution infrastructure and its system requirements,
• apply the basics of Docker (containers, networks, volumes),
• install Relution with Docker Compose (PostgreSQL, Relution, Traefik),
• back up the relevant data, and
• carry out organization management.

Overview of the components of a Relution installation and how they interact.

2. System Requirements

Hardware and software requirements for operation.

• Scaling – Sizing based on environment size

3. Docker Basics

• Container management – Working with containers (start, stop, logs, status)
• Docker networks – Networks and communication between containers
• Volumes – Persistent data storage

4. Installing Relution with Docker (Compose)

• PostgreSQL – Deploying the database
• Relution – Installing and configuring the application
• Traefik (reverse proxy) – Setting up the reverse proxy

5. Backing Up Relevant Data

Backing up the operationally relevant data (database, volumes, configuration).

6. Organization Management

Fundamentals of organization management in Relution.
