Overview

The Relution Teacher app enables teachers to prepare iPads specifically for lessons and to manage them during class. Using lesson-specific profiles, teachers can define apps, weblinks, and device functions, set up groups of participants, and limit the duration of a session. In this training, you will learn how to use the app efficiently in everyday school life – from preparing a profile through the exam and single-app modes to managing lessons in progress. Thanks to the integration with Apple Classroom, comprehensive control of student devices is possible without an Apple ID on the devices.

Target Audience

This training is aimed at teachers as well as educational IT staff who use iPads in the classroom and want to manage them with the Relution Teacher app.

Profiles

Managing Participants

• Selecting a stored class
• Removing absent students from the lesson
• Creating an ad-hoc class from all students in the organization

Lesson Duration and Control

• Time-limiting a profile (e.g., until the end of the period)
• Defining periods via the lesson schedule settings
• Adjusting participants and remaining time during the lesson
• Ending a lesson manually; automatic removal of the profile once time is up

iOS-Specific Features

• Exam mode (iOS): a purple-tinted wallpaper as visible feedback on the device state
• Single-app mode: restricting the device to a single app
• Allowed apps: selecting which apps are available during the lesson
• Device functions: camera, screenshot, Safari and weblinks, Messages app, spelling aids, AirDrop, and enforcing Bluetooth
• App Store settings: controlling the display of the App Store and iTunes Store
