The new software versions iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 are now available. We have already tested the compatibility of Relution with the new operating systems extensively in advance. The support of all Relution MDM functions with the previous versions iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 is guaranteed and the update can be performed without any problems.
All iPhones that have received iOS 13 will get the new OS update. This includes older models like the iPhone 6s and iPhone SE (2016) as well as the current models iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone SE (2020).
When using managed iPhones in a work environment, iOS 14 offers new ways using content and information more convenient:
Widgets can now be configured in different sizes and arranged individually on the home screen to provide all relevant information at a glance.
App Media Library
The new App Media Library automatically arranges all apps in an organized view, with apps sorted by category.
The new OS version is also available for all iPad models that received the first iPadOS version last year. These include the iPad Air 2 (2014) and the iPad Mini (2015). The presented new iPad models are delivered with iPadOS 14.
When using managed iPads in a school context, iPadOS 14 offers new ways to protect sensitive data:
When surfing the Internet, a privacy report now shows how websites treat privacy. Non-compliant websites can be identified in advance and blocked for teaching via Relution.
The App Store provides additional privacy information about an app to better understand the privacy practices of each app before it is installed and used.
